Kainos backs Belfast Tech Week 2026

  • Kainos has announced its support for Belfast Tech Week 2026, joining the week-long programme as a Supporting Partner.

Taking place from 21–25 September, Belfast Tech Week will bring together founders, technology leaders, investors and the wider tech community for more than 60 events across the city, covering technology, innovation, startups and investment.

Founded in Belfast, Kainos has grown into a global technology company, but Northern Ireland remains an important part of its story. The partnership comes as Kainos continues to invest in the region, creating new career opportunities and supporting the development of Northern Ireland’s technology ecosystem.

As part of its involvement, Kainos will have a visible presence throughout the week and will support activity designed to bring people from across the industry together to share ideas, make connections and discuss the opportunities shaping the future of technology.

The partnership builds on Kainos’ wider engagement with the Northern Ireland tech community, from supporting industry events and knowledge-sharing to developing talent through early careers programmes, mentoring and STEM outreach.

Katie Walker, Head of Experienced and Contingent Hiring at Kainos said:

“Belfast has always been a hugely important part of Kainos, so supporting Belfast Tech Week feels like a natural fit for us.

“There is so much talent, ambition and innovation across Northern Ireland’s technology sector, and events like this create a great opportunity to bring that community together.

“We’re looking forward to being involved throughout the week, meeting people from across the industry and being part of the conversations about what comes next for technology in Northern Ireland.”

Simon Bailie, founder of Belfast Tech Week, said:

“We’re delighted to welcome Kainos as a Supporting Partner for Belfast Tech Week 2026.

“Kainos is a company with deep roots in Belfast and a long-standing role in the growth of Northern Ireland’s technology sector. Having organisations like Kainos actively involved in the week is hugely valuable – not simply in supporting the programme, but in bringing their people, experience and ideas into the wider tech community.

“Belfast Tech Week is about creating connections across the ecosystem, and we’re looking forward to having Kainos as part of that this year.”
